Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

i got summoned to go to court charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the other party also assaulted me with a dangerous weapon, neither of us wish to press charges. what will the outcome be?

It sounds like you got charged, but the other party did not. You must obtain representation immediately to see if the other party may have some 5th Amendment issues that may prevent them from being compelled to testify against you, or other avenues of avoiding a criminal case for you. "Pressing charges" is a myth, criminal cases are prosecuted by the government, not individuals.
