Legal Question in DUI Law in Massachusetts

License re-instatment

My license was revoked for 1 year on august 12, 2005,for possion of 6 marijuana(roches) stubs. its almost time to get it back. i'm aware of the $500 fee. if i want to get it back sooner they said to do all thses things, like pass 3 drug tests over the course of 3 months, no driving, no infractions otherwise. i don't want it back soon. i want it back when the time is up. will i have to complete those requirments anyway or do i just pay and get it back? if other please do inform. thank you again whether u get back to me or not i appreciate it.

Dan

Re: License re-instatment

Dan--when it is close to the time of your suspension being over you will receive a letter from the registry telling you exactly what you have to do. I would assume that it is just paying the fine as I have never seen conditions like the ones you stated on registry matters. Are you on probation? Those sound like probation conditions that the court would require before you get your license back early. If you are on probation, I would ask your probation officer the same question as you asked here. Hope that this helps. Please feel free to contact me further. Martha Kovner

Re: License re-instatment

That only item I can add is if you are eligible for a hardship license?
