Alimony

I wanted to know if there is a burden of need in going back into court for an alimony increase or if you can receive an increase through just the ex-spouses increase in income.

Re: Alimony

An increase in alimony is not permitted in every case. If you were divorced with a separation agreement, you should examine the agreement to see if the alimony can be modified. If it can, there numerous factors for the court to consider. Certainly the needs of the recipient is one of the factors but not the only one. This is a complicated matter and you probably should consult a local attorney.
