In MA do I still pay child support if my child was adopted

In order for your child to be adopted, you had to release your parental rights. When you gave up your parental rights your obligation to pay child support should have been terminated from that date forward. If you have unpaid child support you may still owe that for the period before the adoption. I assume you had an attorney at the time, so I would check with the attorney. If not read the documents you signed to release your parental rights to the child.

Good luck

Any child support owed up to the date of finalization of the adoption may still be owed, but there should be no ongoing child support obligation following finalization. Signing the surrender form alone does not terminate your child support obligation, so you may continue to owe child support up to the date the adoption is finalized and your parental rights are judicially terminated.
