Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Paternity / Child Support

My fiance' has 3 children from a previous marriage. Towards the end of the marriage his wife got pregnant. He always had his doubts re: him being the father but he did sign the birth cert. After the birth they seperated and divorced. My question is if he has a paternity test will the court adjust his future child support withholdings and the child support he has paid for this child if it is not his? Or will they continue on as if he is the child's father since he has been paying for this child since birth? The child is 4 years old.

Paternity / Child Support

There is a possibility. It may be in his interest to consult an attorney and review his situation in contrast to the case law, and see what action makes sense.
