a son has died at age 25 after having been in joint custody. he lived in the mother's house. does the mother still have custody rights as to funeral arrangements.

Yes. However, the mother must consult with the other parent as to funeral arrangements.

First, my condolences. The mother, if she had physical custody, can make the arrangements but needs to consult with the other parent.
