I have just been notified that I have recieved 10 years worth of pension annuity payments (from my Dad's death) and that I have to pay the money back. This is unfathomable to me. I have cashed these checks monthly, paud taxes on it yearly and have notified the comany that i moved three times. How could thsy not have found thsi msitake they made and why do they tell me that i have to pay it back. Is there a law against this?

You should probably engage a lawyer to help you try and defend this claim. In your question you have raised what may be legitimate objections to their claim. More's the point, even if there is some basis to the claims at issue, an attorney can occasionally get a settlement for you that you might not be able to get on your own.

I would be happy to talk to you.
