Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

How do i find out how many times a person has sued others. (I believe someone is suing only to get money and I have recently become a vicitm of this person. What can i do to investigate and protect myself?.

There is no easy way to find this out. You can try checking with the Clerks' Offices in the District Court and Superior Court where this person lives, as my guess is that they would most likely have filed their lawsuits in one or both of those courts and the Clerks may be able to confirm whether that person has ever been a plaintiff in any civil suits in those courts, But there is no easy or reliable way to research this without more information to go on. My advice to you is to focus primarily on addressing the merits (if any) to any allegations brought against you, and not worry about other cases.

Most Massachusetts courts (Superior and District) have computers available for public research. Your ZIP code indicates Framingham, and that court definitely has the public research computer on the 2nd floor. That's the District court. Superior Court that covers Framingham is located in Woburn and I believe it has the computers as well. Look up your person by name, try several variations of first/last name, and you'll find the info you're looking for.
