Re: police abuse

You may be able to interest a lawyer in your claim however I suspect there is more to the story of what triggered the incident than your post reveals. The best claims against police involve awareness by higher ups of prior problems. You say you "heard" this about the officer you were involved with. You don't say the source of your information. You should plan to file suit within 2 years of the incident and plan for the police and their insurers to resist all the way through trial.

Re: police abuse

It sounds like you have a workers compensation case. This law provides compensation without fault. You should contact a lawyer who handles this time of case. If you contact me privately, I would be happy to refer you to a lawyer for this type of case. As for background about your officer, the law does not create liability in this manner. Assuming that the officer has beat people without right in the past, this has nothing to do with the way he treated you. Any case you have will be based primarily on the merits of your proof of what the officer did to you.
