Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

Restraining order case?

I am wondering whether or not my situation gives me valid grounds for a restraining order. I live in a rented apartment with 3 roomates, one of whom is my girlfriend. One of the other tenants has a friend who is over often. On many occasions the friend has had sex in our livingrooms/bathrooms even after we were very clear that this was not OK because his friend (our roomate) told him to ignore us. This roomate is moving out in 2 months. On at least three occasions his friends sexual encounters have woken up my girlfriend and myself in the middle of the night when we had work/exams early in the morning. After my girlfriend messanged him via MySpace telling him it was disgusting and rude for him to disobey us and have sex on our furniture, he responded with a message that included a direct physical threat to myself, and horrible harrassing language. I am interested in getting a restraining order to keep him away from our apartment until his friend moves out. Do I have a chance to be granted this restraining order?

Re: Restraining order case?

I am not sure that this person is subject to the restraining order terms. However, if he threatened you, you should contact the local police department, and seek their assistance.
