Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

50 Employees

What are the minimum requirements for compliance once an employer reaches 50 employees? i.e.

1) EE)-1 reporting

2) Written Affirmative Action Plan ?

3) FMLA policy(if 50 employees are within 75 mile radius)

A small business needs an attorney they feel comfortable with to field these kind of questions. The answers to these, and many other questions, are legal advice. The person giving you an "answer" may not have a clue what they are talking about.

The person handling your human resources department probably has connections with other professionals, at other companies, and could give you a referral. Likewise, your CFO probably knows other financial managers, who could give you a referral if your issues are financial in nature.

The law is not a static thing, and having an attorney who looks out for the changes that you should be aware of can keep you out of trouble. Good luck!!
