Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Non compete agreement

I have worked at a bridal shop since late february. During the middle of June they told me i had to sign a non compete agreement so i did, thinking i had a future with the company. the next week they gave me 4 hours and then never asked me to come back to work (we never had set schedules). I want to know if since they fired me a few days after i signed the agreement can i work in another bridal shop? (i just got offered a job)
