Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Hi,

In Massachusetts can a landlord evict a tenant for smoking in the apartment (although it doesn't state on the lease no smoking). ?. Can a tenant at will be evicted if her daughter is pregnant and due within the next 2 months.. and the mother is disabled ?

Unless the lease says no smoking, then no. If you are disabled and your daughter pregnant and you are paying your rent the court even if it wants to evict you, will give you six months to vacate as long as you are paying rent.
