Defamation law

I am pretty sure i have been defamated by a coworker. I was not looking to sure them but wanted action thru my work place to happen instead i typed a formal complaint and have heard of no action taken what should i do??( another coworker actually quit over the false slander)

While additional details are necessary to give you more concrete guidance, it may be that you have claims against your employer for failing to take appropriate action in response to your complaint about the inappropriate or offensive remarks. Your employer likely had a duty to keep you free from a "hostile work environment," which would include being the subject of inappropriate remarks by others, among other things.

Defamation claims against the perpetrator are probably less likely and less fruitful as well. But more detail is necessary.
