Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

I live in a apartment community and there was a leak in the ceiling. A tiny piece fell off the ceiling(one inch diameter). someone was here today and told us that we might be asked to leave. later tonight(7pm) they called and told us that there is a asbestos suspicion(from the popcorn finish on the ceiling) and that we had to leave tonight. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and could not get ready to leave tonight. also they told us that they were renting a room in a Hotel, but all meals we would be responsible for. I think we have some rights here that are being overlooked. They told us that it is in our contract. Can anyone help us? We are being seriously inconvenienced and on top of that, we have to pay for our meals and stay out between one wek and one month... Please help!

Ask them to show you where it states that they are not responsible for all of your expenses. Then call me.
