Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

I have a niece that is living in her fathers home. He passed away a few years ago. She went to pay the taxes and they told her they would not accept from her and that she has 30 days to vacate the home, Also told her they will put a lien on property in those 30 days. She has tried to take care of all pass due bills of his, and is executor of estate. What recourse does she have. This is in the stat of MA.
