Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

Isn't the landlord suppose to mail you some type of tax form for the security deposit interest and every year at tax time? If so what is the name of that form and who has the right to claim the tenants security deposit interest year after year?

The landlord is actually supposed to pay you the interest each year and give you a 1099.
