Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

I live in Massachusetts, and I was just married in September of 2009, so this will be my first year filing my taxes as "married jointly". Some of my friends have told me that there is a tax credit or special deduction for newly married couples. I was wondering if this is true or not? And if so, could you please tell me what the deduction/credit would be? Thank you very much in advance.
