Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

How to dispute/object to administratix inventory/accounts

This is an intestate probate in MA. There is a spouse, but no children, and 3 siblings of the deceased. Spouse was appointed administratix in February 1999. Siblings were not notified, no Citation or Publication was required by judge. In January 2000, 1 sibling filed Petition to Render Inventory (pro se) -- Inventory filed March 2000. Sibling then filed Petition to Render Accounts -- these are due in May 2000. Inventory appears incomplete/understated. Accounts, when filed, may also be incomplete/understated. Deceased has real estate holdings in a Realty Trust (he was 100% beneficiary of realty trust), and 100% shares of a business corporation. How does sibling contest/object to inventory and/or accounts? What is the document called and what is the form, or is there a standard form?

Your information is limited but here is a general response. If the deceased left a will leaving everything to his spouse, you may have no standing. Additionally, the spouse may be entitle to her statutory share which may be the entire estate of the deceased.

If you have standing, a simple Motion is all that is needed. A Motion in Objection to the invetory or something similar would do the trick.
