Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Back in 07 I had a lein put on my home. I lost the house to foreclosuer. Once the house people would not work with me to let me keep the house I surrendered it. I thought beings the other company had a lein on my house they would get there money from the sale of the house beings they have a lein on the house and the bank would have to pay them before they could sell the house. My question is should the loan people beable to sue me or should they have gotten the money from the bank when they sold the house beings there was a lein on the home? Please help. Thank you for your time and help.

It sounds like the house did not sell for enough money to pay the lien. Therefore, the lien people can still come after you. The fact that they had a lien does not mean that they cannot sue you.
