Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

someone is trying to file a comlaint against me, without telling me the reason

I am taking a local paint shop to small claims court due to them switching the hood on my car... new color, new rust spots (have pictures proving they weren't there)... I am being threatened that they will file a complaint against me if I don't drop the case. what could the complaint be about? mentioned 25K as the jurisdiction amount. I am guessing it is just a scare tactic, but I dont know law. best advice?

They are bluffing. The mistake you made is in going to Small Claims court in the first place. You have a consumer protection case.

Common sense should prevail. The small claims court has a $3000 jurisdictional limit. No lawyer would remove your complaint to the district court ($25,000 limit) unless he was paid more than the hood was worth.
