i was fired from my job of thirty years without due process. do i have a good case ?

Chances are you do not have any legal recourse. People generally believe that there is some requirement in the workplace to be treated fairly. This is not true. Employers do not owe their employes a duty to treat them fairly, unless there is a specific statute that requires it or if they are fortunate enough to have union representation and a collective bargaining agreement demands it. Therefore, you have to generally fit within a protected category in order to have job protection. For example, a boss can fire someone whose voice bothers the boss. However, the boss cannot fire someone due to a racial reason. The civil rights laws protect the employee from discrimination based upon race, national origin, etc. The law gives protection to some Whistleblowers. However, if you do not fit within a protected category, you have few rights in the workplace.
