Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

contracts

I purchased a car while living in Florida. I have since moved to Michigan. The finance company took a car payment out of my account without me saying they could. They had a asked me to do this on a different occation and I said no. Now they have done it anyway. Can they do this? I had thought they were not even to keep my account numbers on file.

thank you

Re: contracts

A creditor absolutely cannot take money from your bank accounts without your permission, unless you financed through a bank or credit union where you also have bank accounts. This could be a very serious violation. Please feel free to call me at 248.679.1552.
