Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

criminal history

MCL 750.377 A-B, 1990 conviction conspiracy-misdemeanor malicious destruction personal property $100 or less. How long will this remain on criminal background check for potential employers to reference? Michigan State Police records had this charge as a felony conviction it was in error I have recieved document stating the correction. I don't know if correction has been made in the records system. I believe I may be overlooked for employment opportunity due to this record. What can I do? How should I approach the subject to a potential employer? Again I am always truthful about it.Should this even still be showing up on my criminal background for employment screening purposes.
