Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

My girlfriend's son is living in our house and she is on the mortgage with me. Her son is twenty and drives a pick-up in his name without insurance. If he is involved in an accident are we liable in any way.

You posted this in the Criminal Law section. I do not see how you would be liable criminally (could be charged with a misdemeanor or felony) for his bad driving, or even driving without insurance. As for whether you might have civil liability if he injures someone or damages property, that question should be asked in a different section/sections of Lawguru.com, maybe a section on Insurance Law, or Civil Law, or Tort Law. the attorneys who sign up here hold themselves out as being knowledgeable in the are of law for that section (here, criminal law). Posting a tort law question in the criminal law section may not get you a helpful answer.
