Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Michigan

Workplace bullying

My store manager has started bullying me. He can't bully me about my work performance so he is now making comments about my personal habits. I smoke and I do it on my own time and outside of the store. This is a personal attack and he did it on the sales floor at the store in front of my co-worker. I was caught off guard and humilated by what he said. What can I do?

Re: Workplace bullying

there is nothing you can do about this treatment. It is legal and you are most likely an at will employee. You can complain to upper management or HR, but this simply get you fired. Sorry for the blunt answer, but this is the state of Michigan law. Tim Klisz
