Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

How/when OWAI affects insurance rate

I received an OWAI in Aug 04 and completed probation and all responsibilities as required. My auto insurance premiums haven't risen. This violation is the only thing on my record and I have been with the same insurance company for 20 years straight. I haven't made any changes to my insurance (no claims, deductible changes, or new cars). Shouldn't my premium have gone up by now? I'm happy it hasn't increased, but I'm curious why and what I could expect in the future.

Re: How/when OWAI affects insurance rate

You are lucky. The insurance companies randomly check the records of 1/3 of drivers each year, or anytime you make a claim, add a car, add a driver, etc. If it hasnt happened yet, it may not. Visit www.kliszlaw.com for more information. Tim Klisz
