Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

minor in possession, michigan

My daughter, 20 3/4 just received a mip while being a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over because of suspected drinking. The driver and my daughter both received an alcohol test. The driver had not been drinking, but my daughter blew a .009. She received a ticket. What should she expect from the courts. She is a full time student and works full time.

Assuming she has no prior criminal history and a decent driving record, you should retain an attorney to ensure she gets the best deal possible - such as 6 months under advisement, so then it will not stay on her permanent record.

Please contact me to set up a consultation - I handle these all the time.

Thank you!
