Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child not returned

I have full primary custody and joint legal custody of our 14 year old son. My son calls and tells me that he is not getting on the plane to come home(Since I moved I am the one who pays for the transportation.) stating that his dad won't take him to the airport because he didn't get 5 weeks there like ordered and he ''kind of liked it there.'' I spoke with my son's dad and told him I would make the time up over christmas. His dad refused and my son is not here school starts Monday Aug 15th and my son will not start school on time, I will have to make a trip to michigan and take time away from my new job. What will happen to my son's dad? He seems to constantly get away with breaking the law. Can I ask that he pay for my son's return flight home? This kind of stuff has gone on for 17 yrs now I have 2 other children (adults) with this man. I am very concerned that I may not get to bring him home the judge seems to let my other children decide where they want to live without asking why, or what goes on in the families. The childrens dad has drugs in the house all their lives but it doesn't seem to concern the courts.

thanks

Re: Child not returned

This is an easy one. Tell your kid and his father that unless he is returned by a certain time, you will make out a report for parental kidnapping. Then do it. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
