Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

we got divorce in ontario,canada he used to pay child support until he went to court and proved that he has no income so by court order it stopped until he starts working and has an income .he does now ,he has phd in electrical engineering and works at a university in Michigan .

i am married now and living in Michigan too . Can I go back to court in Michigan and fight for my kids support here or I should go back to Canada
