Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I went through a divorce about a year ago. Both my ex and I opted out of friend of the court. Can the state or my ex go after me for child support even though we both opted out?

Yes. When you opted out of Friend of the Court oversight and enforcement, the ex or the State who paid money to support your child, can take independent action.
