Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

My ex husband kept $26,000 of my settlement money per the divorce decree, He was also supposed to pay his half as of 7/12/09. This year my tax refund of almost $3,000 was witheld because he didn't pay the taxes. How do I get my tax refund money back and get the IRS to leave me alone

You need to hire a lawyer to enforce the terms of the judgment of divorce and clarify the tax situation with the IRS. Did you contact the IRS at all re: the terms of your judgment? They generally will not get involved in disputes like that, and will just collect from whomever is responsible per the tax returns.
