Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I live in Michigan, my ex lives in another country. Our custody case is still in Wisconsin. I want to petition the court to change the current custody order of my 11 year old son. Would it be cheaper to petition the court in Wisconsin or to get the case transferred to Michigan and then let the Friend of the Court take over? Thank you!

There is no blanket answer to your question. I'd begin by getting price quotes from an experienced family law attorney in each state / county.
