Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

We are petitioning to move out of state with a minor child. We have full legal and physical custody. The non-custodial parent only has visitation. If the non-custodial parent has no legal custody are we required to serve them papers for our court case to move?

Yes. Before filing a motion to change domicile at the very least you should review the statute. In fact you should retain counsel to give you the greatest chance to succeed. Feel free to contact my office if you have questions. cbrownlegal.com
