Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

would prenup cover me or would i be ruined?

I'm in IL, fiance in MI. We'll wed on 5/8/04 in MI. He expects me to move to MI & be a stayhome mom. I care for my elderly mom, & have term life as long as I'm in current job. When I ask about 250k ins on me for mom he asked how will I pay if not working. Then said he'll get a 800k policy on me, mom can have part but unused amt goes to him & wants power of atty. His parents, sister, and kids would split his, I could go to school & reestablish myself. Said would help my mom, now asked how much my house is worth. Said ''we'' can buy condo closer & the difference is her supplement. Says I shouldn't give mom any savings. I answered finance Q's. If I ask, says trust him, pray, listen for God's answer. If he decides to divorce in 5-10 years, or sooner, would MI or IL laws apply? What if I go to IL w/in a week?) I'm giving up career, could I be compensated for that? Lost time? (he makes 250k I make 50K) Can I go back to IL? If he died how could I be protected? How could I make sure I'm covered once I quit my job? Would a prenup protect me in all of this or would I be ruined financially (i.e., run-away now?)

Very complicated situation - you will need an attorney to figure this out for you. I would say run now. Does not sound very trustworthy
