Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Hi. My son's father has been in and out of his life (son is 2). He disappeared 2 months ago. He only has 50% legal custody now. But I want to get 100% legal custody. What should I do to get that?

If you have a custody order in place a motion to change Custody must be filed. You must meet the threshold proper cause standard to even revisit the issue. These are complicated issues. Feel free to contact me to discuss. I have had great success with changing custody for my clients. See my results page at cbrownlegal.com.

Don't make the mistake of filing your motion without counsel. If the court denies your motion you will need a new set of circumstances to revisit custody. You will need an attorney to have a realistic chance for success.
