Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

my brother been deceased for 3yrs and on his life insurance policy he choosed me to be beneficiary, although he was married at that time. Now his wife has file a summons and complaint civil case, stating as the personal representative, and her alligation are that i forged the deceased signature on the life insurance claim, as to naming myself as beneficiary to claim proceeds. i have not answered the summons yet,but iam very soon. My deceased brother, wife has hired an attorney. Do I need an attorney just to respond to this summons and complaint, can i hire a paraprofessional to help me respond to the summons and complaint and waite for a court date hearing and go before a judge and then hire a lawyer if needed.

If you are foolish, you will go in as you described. Hire a good lawyer and let that lawyer do his or her thing. You are going to mess up bad unless you go in with good, competent, legal counsel from the inception.
