Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

Pet dog

Six months ago, I moved to another town with my girlfriend whom I

met six months prior. I purchased a pet dog but did not intend it to

be a gift to her, figuring that we would both enjoy the pet. I have

the receipts and papers to prove the dog is mine. We broke up

and now she refuses to return my pet. Do I have the right to claim

my pet dog as it was never a gift to her?

Re: Pet dog

yes. pets are considered property and her refusal to return your dog is conversion of your property.
