Legal Question in Immigration Law in Michigan

marriage to foreign citizen

I'm US Citizen and I'd like to marry non citizen. I understand several options available. I'd like to get married while my fianc is here on valid tourist visa. If I do so, is my fianc eligible to receive SSN and temporary work permit? Is there a better legal way if we don't want to wait for 6+ months for K visa

Your future spouse may qualify to apply for permanent residence while remaining in the U.S.

Re: marriage to foreign citizen

The most important thing is whether your fiance entered with the tourist visa intending to get married and remain here. If not and it can be proven, then yes, he can apply here and get ssn and work permit.
