expired court date?????

I filed a small claims against my old landlord to refund my deposit. She did not show the first time. They reset the date and when I went they told me it was expired to file again. They set the date, not me~

is this legal, now I have to pay again.

You should not have to pay again, especially since you appeared the first time. Perhaps you should contact the court administrator.
