Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Michigan

I'm currently renting a property. I had gotten behind on the rent and have went to court to make arrangements to pay the arrears. In the process, my landlord is requiring us to pay half the rent every 2 weeks, even though rent will be paid over a month in advance. Can my landlord have us removed for not paying rent in advance? We are on time for the arrears. Please advise!

Your landlord can evict you if your rent is not paid ON TIME. This means in advance. If it's due Feb 1st, this is for the month of February. You have a choice, either pay the rent the way your lease is written, or agree to the modification that your landlord is proposing.
