legal malpractice/negligence

kept a 10A property in 2003 divorce. my attorney filed an incorrect/incomplete address on quit claim deed for property. subsequent property tax bills were deemed undeliverable due to incomplete address and I never received them. property was foreclosed on and sold at auction by state for non payment of property taxes. was never notified of foreclosure due to incorrect address also. can my divoece attorney be held accountable for the loss of the property?

Maybe but it would be difficult. The reason is, even if the attorney committed malpractice, he would argue that you have a duty to mitigate your damages. After years of not paying taxes on the property, you had the duty to investigate why no tax bills were coming. Also, you must file an address change with the local authorities.
