Falling in my home due to landlord

i fell in my home in october, i couldnt move and that resulted in a stroke. the apartment that I was in was in dire need of repair by the landlord. I contacted the landlord prior to my fall many time but he did not respond (eventually i went to an attorney and he wrote a letter, landlord started to fix in december but failed to complete). is there any recourse for my personal injury in my home?

I'd have to know how the failure of the landlord to keep the premises in reasonable repair led to your fall. You may have a claim. How collectible is the landlord? William S. Stern
