Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Minor traffic accident

I was involved in an accident feb of 1999 where a guy was turning into a driveway and i couldny stop quick enough so i swerved and hit my brakes. We were only going about 20 MPH and there was no damage to his vehicle, the police showed up and since damages were minor and no one was hurt, no tickets were issued and we went on our way. The guy whom I hit filed suit against me for shattered vertabrae and a lifelong disability. This seems like an injury which he would have known about at the time of the accident and not 3 years later. The ins co is looking into fraud because the guy owns a carpet installation store which requires lots of physical labor. What could happen if this goes to court?

Let the insurance company lawyers worry about it. That's what you pay for. In htis day and age, it is highly doubtful he has no evidence at all. He may have lied to his doctors about how the injury occurred. The lawyers are skilled at finding this out.
