Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

I was at school (community college) when I slipped in a puddle of water and fell, fracturing my kneecap completely. I'm now in a cast and will need physical therapy when it comes off and won't be able to work for another 2 months. Is the school liable for my medical bills, and can I sue them for future pain and suffering and lost wages?

You may have a viable claim depending on the facts of course. Did the school create the hazard? Was the hazard an unreasonable danger? Was the school on notice of the hazard? Etc...also most of these claims fail because of the defense "open and obvious" essentially if a reasonable person would have appreciated the danger your claim could be dismissed. I would be more than happy to give you my opinion once I have all the facts. Feel free to contact me to discuss.
