Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

i have been accused of mortgage fraud, but i did not write the loan. My name was on a check and i believe i was the victim of identity theft. Can i be charged?

To be charged with mortgage fraud, you must be a party to a mortgage. If someone forged your signature on a loan or on a check, you will need a real estate attorney to defend you against these charges.
