Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

By my house, there is a hostes factory. And every night they throw out a lot of their products. suck as twinzies, zinger and ding dongs. Thye arent even bad, they expire in two days but they throw them away becuase they cant sell them. So they just throw them in a dumpster by their building. its not fenced in or anything. is it illegal to go into the dumpster and take the products?

Once an item has been set out for the trash pick up, there is no expectation of privacy and anyone can go through the stuff. Can you take them? If you don't have to tresspass on the Hostess property to reach the dumpster, then anyone can remove an item from the trash.
