Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

I don't know how my husband is on my mortgage. I purchased the home in my name in Michigan and refinanced after 2 yrs to avoid an adjustable rate. When I refinanced my husband was told he had to "ok" me to do so and is now on the mortgage. I also had a conventional mortgage that after the re-fi was converted to an FHA mortgage.

Trying to get into a home now after a foreclosure and just now found out my husband is on the mortgage. What can I do to fix this?

Both of you need to dispute the debt in writing and request the bank's proofs. I am certain this is showing up on your credit report so you will need to dispute any violations of the credit reporting act in writing as well.

I would be glad to write a letter for you for a small fee. Please let me know if you need my help by emailing me at [email protected]. You may also find useful information under the debtor/creditor link on my website at www.LawRefs.com.
