Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

I have a land contract. The contract has since been paid in full. However the owner of the property (whose name the deed is in) has since passed away and so has her son. I have no contact with the family or anyone associated with the owner. What steps do I need to take to get the deed into my name?

This may be simple or complex. Did you close through a title company? If so, they may be holding the deed in escrow. If there is not a deed, probate of the owners estate would be required. Contact me to discuss further.
