Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

I live in Michigan and just signed a year lease. My landlord has decided to sell it and told me to leave by the 1st of April. Can she kick me out?

Short answer, "no", unless the lease says otherwise. The sale is subject to your lease, so you can stay. You should notify the buyer and title company of your lease, or record your lease to protect your interest. Talk to an attorney if you are unsure how to proceed. Good luck.
